You know that feeling of being awake before anyone else? The state of bliss as you slowly begin your day, taking in a moment of stillness? That’s the essence of “Foggy Morning,” a new single by Shingo Nakamura.
The Tokyo-based DJ and producer has returned to Monstercat Silk with his latest track, a follow-up to January’s “Come Closer.” Creating a sublime soundscape that evokes the tranquil mist of dawn, the song fuses soft textures from an analog synthesizer to instill a dreamlike state.
“I like the fantastic view in the morning when no one is around,” Nakamura explained in a statement shared with EDM.com. “This time, I tried to express that scenery with floating and hypnotic sounds.”

Throughout the past decade, Nakamura has balanced his day job working at an office in Japan while producing and DJing at night. This ongoing dedication to homing his craft resulted in composing chart-topping electronic music and landing guest mix features on radio shows such as Armin van Buuren’s venerated “A State of Trance.”
As one of Monstercat Silk’s leading artists, Nakamura was recently been able to transition to a fulltime musician this year. Additionally, in 2023 he will perform at Creamfields Japan, Tomorrowland and make his highly anticipated return to the U.S.
