Jason Momoa’s long, wavy locks are gone!
The Aquaman star, who also happens to be the United Nation Environment Programme’s Ambassador for Life Below Water, has shaved his head to spread awareness about the dangers of single-use plastics.
“I’m tired of these plastic bottles, we gotta stop,” he says in an Instagram video, while a woman takes clippers to his hair.
“Plastic forks and all that sh**. It just goes into our land, it goes into our ocean. I’m here in Hawaii right now, just seeing the things in our ocean, it’s just so sad. So please, anything you can do to eliminate some of these plastics in your life, help me.”

He captioned the video: “Here’s to new beginnings, let’s spread the aloha. Be better at protecting our land and oceans. We need to cut single-use plastics out of our lives and out of our seas. Plastic bottles, plastic bags, packaging, utensils all of it. Let’s aloha our ‘ãina together aloha.”
This isn’t the first time, Jason has called attention to environmental issues by chopping off his hair. You might remember back in 2019, he shaved off his iconic beard to raise awareness about plastics killing the planet.
