More than a thousand Paddington Bears and other teddies left by mourners of the late Queen Elizabeth II will soon find a good home!
Buckingham Palace has announced the toys, which were picked up outside Buckingham Palace, Green Park and other public sites around London, will be donated to children’s charity Barnardos – where Queen Elizabeth was patron for 30 years.
“The bears have been scrubbed up to look their best,” a message on the royal family’s Instagram page reads, sharing a photo of a smiling Camilla, Queen Consort, surrounded by the teddies.

“The bears are currently being well-looked after at Buckingham Palace, Clarence House and in the Royal Parks nursery located in Hyde Park.
The tributes were prompted by the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee TV sketch where she enjoyed some tea with Paddington:
